John Locke and john doe

I can't get over the fact that ABC follows "Lost", one of the best serial television shows of all time IMO with "the forgotten" which has to be one of the worst shows I've ever seen. It is almost as if they think that the forgotten will absorb some of Lost's good qualities. But the forgotten has some interesting qualities. First of all on my guide the title of the show isn't even capitalized. The show is actually called "the forgotten" and not "The Forgotten". I have no idea what the point of this is although somehow I'm confident that there is an explanation that someone considers plausible. Secondly, the show is set in Chicago. This is the main reason that I actually watched an episode the whole way through once. It also makes the promos interesting. I paused it when they showed shots of the skyline. Pretty cool, I almost saw my apartment. The show is about a volunteer group of people who try to identify unidentified dead bodies (John Does) and somehow also figure out the reason for their death. The episode I watched was about an unidentified body which was found after falling off of a Chicago hotel. It was eventually determined that the person was someone into Parkour which is awesome mostly because it makes me think of that one episode of "The Office". But the tipping point for the show came tonight when the intro to the show involved an elevated train (I think they said green line) toppling off the track injuring 62 (or 63) people. I wish I could paste a picture of how it looked on the TV. Honestly this show has so many uniquely bad qualities that it kind of makes me want to watch. Kind of like the opposite of Lost, so maybe ABC is smarter than me. Also, Christian Slater is prominently involved.
