A sign that summer is coming

"How should I spend my time here on this Earth?" - Al Gore in the film "An Inconvenient Truth"

So not only does Al Gore have a personality, but he comes off as likable and down to earth. For this reason alone this documentary deserved the oscar. But in reality the movie brings up some research that is startling. All research he used has been peer reviewed with zero disagreements with the findings upon review. That amazed me as about 2/3rds of the way through I had my doubts as to how credible the evidence was.

If the democrats get executive control of the White House in 08 expect some more energy related law changes, including the ratification of the Kyoto Agreement.

I think Al Gore's favorite part of the movie was where he got to simulate what Florida would look like if Greenland's ice sheet melted into the ocean. (This involved flooding the majority of the panhandle.) Although if that had happened in 2002, he'd be president and I might not know about the effects my carbon emissions have on the world.

He's been giving the slideshow for years, but as we see in the film he is constantly adding slides to the lecture as the evidence mounts and mounts.
